Terms of service
These terms apply when you buy from waterexperts.co.za. They take about three minutes to read. Where they touch your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, those Acts come first.
1. Who we are
Water Experts is the water treatment shop of Andy Plumbers, Fairland, Randburg, Johannesburg. We sell water filtration products online and courier them across South Africa, and Andy Plumbers installs them across Johannesburg. 2. Orders
An order is placed when you complete the checkout and accepted when your payment is received; we confirm it by email. If an item turns out to be unavailable, or was priced or described wrongly, we tell you before it ships and you choose between the corrected item and a full refund. We may decline an order, for example to an address the courier cannot serve; any payment is then refunded in full.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in South African Rand. Water Experts is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added: the price shown is the price you pay. The courier is shown separately at checkout before you pay. Payment is through PayFast (cards, Instant EFT, SnapScan, Zapper) or by EFT by arrangement; we never see your card details. Prices can change, but the price you paid is the price for your order.
4. Delivery
Everything ships door to door with JKJ Express; there is no collection. How the courier is charged, when it is free, delivery times and the surcharge on farms, plots and rural addresses are on the shipping, delivery and payment page. Ownership of the goods, and the risk in them, pass to you on delivery to the address you gave.
5. Returns and refunds
Thirty days from delivery to return anything unused, who pays the return courier, what happens with a faulty, damaged or wrong item, and how refunds are paid: all of it is on the returns and refunds page. The AquaShield First Sip Promise and its conditions are on the guarantee page.
6. Installation and use
Every product ships with a fitting guide and we answer questions on WhatsApp. Unless Andy Plumbers installed it, you or the plumber you choose are responsible for installing the product correctly, in line with the guide and the SANS plumbing standards, and for the water supply, pressure and drainage it connects to. Water treatment products need their cartridges, lamps and media changed at the intervals on the product page; a system run past them does not do what it did on day one.
7. Our responsibility
We are responsible for supplying goods that are of good quality, work as described and match what you ordered, as the Consumer Protection Act requires. Beyond what the law does not allow us to limit, we are not liable for loss that comes from incorrect installation by someone other than Andy Plumbers, from use outside the product's stated limits, from missed cartridge changes, or for indirect losses such as water damage from a connection we did not make. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
8. Your information
What we collect at checkout, who we share it with (the courier, the payment provider) and how long we keep it is in the privacy policy and the POPIA notice.
9. This website
The copy, photographs and designs on this site belong to Water Experts and Andy Plumbers; please ask before reusing them. We keep every page as accurate as we can and correct mistakes when we find them, but product details and prices change, and the product page at the time of your order is what applies to it.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version on this page when you order applies to that order. South African law governs these terms, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
