4-in-1 Re-Mineraliser Cartridge
Stage six. Calcium and magnesium back in.
Reverse osmosis takes everything out, the good minerals included, and the water tastes flat and reads slightly acidic. This inline cartridge puts calcium and magnesium back and settles the pH. It is stage six on the AquaShield; on any other RO system or a fridge line it fits in ten minutes with the elbows, clips and tube in the kit.
What is inside
Four media in sequence: maifan stone, which releases calcium, magnesium and potassium slowly as the water passes; mineral stone; bio-ceramic granules; and far-infrared ceramic balls. Water leaves the membrane at a pH around 6; it leaves this cartridge closer to neutral, with the minerals that make water taste like water.
Where it fits
After the post-carbon stage, last in line before the tap, so nothing downstream strips what it adds. On the AquaShield it is already there. On another RO system, or on a fridge line, the kit's two elbows, two clamps and metre of 1/4 inch tube put it inline in ten minutes.
When to change it
Every 12 months or 5 600 litres. The media dissolves slowly by design; when it is spent, the water is still pure, it just tastes flat again. That is the sign.
