Runxin F56A1 Manual Filter Valve
Backwash by hand. Three positions, no electricity.
The manual multi-port valve for a media filter: service, backwash and fast rinse on one lever, 4 cubic metres an hour, 1 inch ports, on the 2.5 inch thread of any FRP vessel from 6 to 12 inches across. For AFM, carbon or calcite vessels where somebody is around to backwash once a week, or where there is no power at the plant.

Once a week, or when the pressure across the vessel rises by 0.5 bar: lever to backwash and let the drain run until it clears, five to ten minutes. Lever to rinse for two minutes to settle the bed. Lever back to service. The valve moves under pressure without stopping the pump, and there is nothing to program, power or protect from surges.
What it fits
Every Runxin valve mounts on the 2.5 inch thread of an FRP vessel and needs three things inside the vessel: a 27 mm riser pipe cut to sit 1 to 2 mm below the vessel neck, a top distributor and a bottom strainer. Our 75 litre vessel ships with all three; a bare vessel from elsewhere needs them bought separately.
Tank sizes 6 to 12 inches in diameter: the 45 and 75 litre vessels. For a 100 litre vessel or larger, ask us about the next valve up.
What it needs
Inlet pressure of 1.5 to 6 bar, a 1 inch drain line to a gully or soakaway that can take the backwash flow (about 50 litres a minute for AFM in our 75 litre vessel), and water under 20 FTU turbidity coming in. Anything dirtier wants a coarse screen ahead of the vessel.
